Draw Near Doula Support Services is in network with Tricare, and it is an honor and a privilege to serve Alaska’s military families.
Tricare will cover a portion of my birth doula package, depending on your planned place of birth. I am happy to work with service members from other bases who choose to come to Anchorage to birth as well.
For beneficiaries birthing off base at any of the Anchorage or Mat-Su Valley hospitals, birth centers, or home birth, Tricare will cover the prenatal visit, birth support, and the postpartum visit. The remainder of the package is $225, which covers my on-call fee and all birth education.
For beneficiaries birthing on base at JBER hospital, Tricare will only cover the prenatal and postpartum visits. The remainder of the package is $1520.
